Empire State of Mind

This time three years I was in fabulous New York City doing an internship at The Today Show.  This year's batch of interns headed to the Big Apple this week and so of course I started reminiscing about my time in my absolute favorite city.  I have a complete love affair with New York.  I could talk about it forever actually.  The whole energy of the city is amazing.  I love absolutely everything about it.  I can't wait to go back someday and I would kill to live there again.

Today, I hope you will oblige me a little trip down memory lane.

When I was in New York I got to work here:

30 Rock

And live here:

Super tiny dorm room.

I got to eat food like this:

Carnegie Deli.

$20 sandwich.  I think there was at least a pound of bacon on there.

Best cheesecake ever.

Frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity.  To die for.

Max Brenner. De-lish.

Sarabeth's French Toast.

See art like this:

Monet at the Met.

Van Gogh at the MOMA.

Go to Broadway shows like these:

Mamma Mia

Legally Blonde

Wicked...front row for $25 baby.  My friend Allison won the drawing they do everyday for front row seats.

Mary Poppins

Browse at stores like these:

Get up close and personal with people like them:

Jimmy Fallon

Brian Williams

Matt Lauer

Meredith Vieira

Al Roker

Ann Curry

Fergie

Kenny Chesney

Alanis Morissette

Janice Dickinson

And go to awesome landmarks like these:

Statue of Liberty...duh.

Ellis Island.

View of the NYC skyline from Ellis Island.

Brooklyn Bridge

SNL Set

Yankee Stadium

And this is just a tidbit of the amazingness of NYC.  I forgot to take pictures of half the stuff I did.
Can you see why I love this city so much?
