Actor Spotting

I was just watching the "Launch Party" episode of The Office on Netflix...you know the one where Michael thinks he's invited to an awesome party in New York but it's really an online party and so he gets really mad and decides to throw his own awesome party and he orders pizza from the nasty pizza place in Scranton and the punk delivery boy won't let him use his half-off coupon on all eight of the pizzas he ordered so he puts the delivery kid in the conference room and won't let him go?  How's that for a run on sentence?!  Anywho...I'm watching this episode and realize that the pizza boy's voice sounds way familiar.

 Does anyone else recognize him?  Well a quick look at IMDB confirmed my suspicions.  The pizza delivery boy was played by non-other than wheelchair bound Gleek, Artie Abrams aka Kevin McHale.

Am I the only one that loves watching re-runs of shows or older movies and seeing famous actors make cameos back when they weren't so famous?  It's like a film version of Where's Waldo.  Law and Order is the absolute best for actor spotting.  I swear EVERYONE has been on that show.

Actor spotting is definitely one of my hidden talents.  I probably drive my friends crazy when we watch movies because I'm constantly shouting out, "Oh my gosh that guy/gal is totally in this show/movie now!"

And apparently I'm not the only one who does this because when I googled Kevin's name to find the picture above I found these as well;

Gotta love it.  I've unofficially decided to call this pastime of mine "actor spotting" because I can't think of anything more creative right now.  But I'm wondering, do any of my fellow actor spotters have a better name for this awesome game?

Bones

Bones is my newest addiction. I just can't get enough. If I had nothing else to do I'd probably just sit on my couch all day watching this show. How did I never know about this before my mission?! I love all of the characters but of course the main eye candy is FBI agent Seeley Booth aka David Boreanaz. I totally loved Buffy and Angel as a teenager and Mr. Boreanaz is just as dreamy now as he was then...even without the fangs. The fall season premiers on September 23rd and I cannot wait to find out what happens when Booth and Breenan are reunited after their one year sabbaticals! I'm such a sucker for these love stories that tease you season after season until the main characters finally get together. You know the ones: Jim and Pam, Ross and Rachel, oh and my personal favorite...Louis and Clark. The suspense kills me!

Ellen

This had me laughing out loud today! I never knew the combination of Ellen and the US Open could be so funny. And while you're at it check out this one too. Enjoy!

I'm an Office addict and I'm not afraid to admit it.

So I haven't been doing much blogging lately cuz I've pretty much been spending all of my time watching The Office. I recently discovered the "Watch Instantly" feature on my Netflix account and it's pretty much the best thing every. I instantly watched the first four seasons of The Office right on my computer over the past two weeks. I didn't really get into The Office craze until last season, and even then I only occasionally watched it. I decided I probably wouldn't really get into it until I started at season 1 and saw where it all began. Now I'm totally addicted. For the past two weeks, if I wasn't in class, at work, or sleeping, you could find me in my room watching The Office. I just couldn't pull myself away from the computer. That show is hilarious but really touching at the same time. Like at first I really hated Michael, but I've learned to feel for the guy. He really does mean well. And I can't get enough of Jim and Pam. And don't even get me started on my love for Dwight. And now everything reminds me of something I saw on the office...and the other day I walk into my job and The Gap and the thought pops into my head, "I wonder where they buy their paper?" Seriously. I'm not even lying. Do you think they have a twelve step program for Office addicts...cuz that is just ridiculous.

So I'm done watching seasons 1-4 and now I have to wait an entire week between episodes. I'm going to have to start watching the British version (which is also on Netflix Watch Instantly) in order to deal with my Office withdrawals in between episodes.

So in the episode called "Safety Training", from season 3, there is this awesome clip where Kelly is explaining how Netflix works to Ryan. I couldn't find just that clip so this is like a 10 minute excerpt from that episode. Go to about 4:40 in the video and that's when Kelly starts talking about Netflix. I thought it was only appropriate to share this clip seeing how Netflix has fueled my Office addiction. Enjoy.
