Shred

I'm definitely no fitness expert and I rarely keep up a work-out routine for more than a month at a time, but I just had to share with you my new obsession.

The Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is totally amazing. I've only been using the DVD for 3 weeks but it's by far my most favorite work-out ever. It only takes 20 minutes but I am literally drenched in sweat by the time it's over. Plus, it has three levels so you can keep progressing.

I'm sure Jillian has her critics but you can't argue with success.  So if you're looking for a great work-out that doesn't take a lot of time check this one out for sure.  And you can get it on Amazon for like five bucks. I promise you won't regret - in fact you'll probably be thanking me once you realize the amazingness of this DVD.

Happy shredding everyone!

Makin' Me Smile

I've got a ton of stuff I need to post right now (seeing as I haven't posted in like a week and graduation was last Thursday and Friday) but I first, couldn't resist posting some things that are just putting a smile on my face right now:

1.  Does anyone remember this song from a couple of year ago?  I was just reminded of how much I loved this music video.  I just think it is so clever.  And her clothes are adorable.  And so is her accent.  I love how English people say the word, "can't".

2. Mindy Gledhill's Music.  Totally Tessa posted an adorable prom video set to Gledhill's song "I Do Adore."  I loved the song so I looked her up on i-tunes and I'm totally hooked.  I might be super late getting on this train but be sure to check her out if you're like me and haven't heard her music yet.

3. This post over at Busy Bee Lauren.  Bones lovers of the world unite!

4. Easter Sweet Tarts in the shape of chicks, ducks, and bunnies.  They taste even better than regular Sweet Tarts, and that's saying something because I LOVE me some Sweet Tarts.

5. Jackie O's Wedding Dress.  Seriously to die for.  I'm drooling just looking at these pictures.

6. My $2.00 tax return.

7. The Asian Sesame Chicken Salad I'm about to go buy from Panera Bread since my parents are at the Angel game and I have the house all to myself :)

8. This new online mag for women called "The Violet".  I found it on Love and Photographs and I'm already loving it.

9.  This printable on Thirty Handmade Days.  So, so true.

10. These pictures of Erik and I that I just found on my computer.

11.  The fact that I'm going to be in sunny southern California for 2 weeks with nothing to do but relax and get a tan!!  Yay!!

My Favorite Salon

For anyone in the Provo/Orem area looking for a great place to get a haircut I just want to put in plug for the Aveda/Remedez Salon at University Mall.  I used to be super-anit mall hair salons but when I moved to Utah and I couldn't go to my regular hairstylist I stumbled upon Remedez.  I've had a lot of different stylists at Remedez and I've never been disappointed but I've finally found my absolute favorite - Aly.  She is the cutest girl and she has short hair like me so she knows exactly what I want.  I'm super picky about my haircut so if I say she's good -- believe me -- she's good.  Remedez is a gorgeous salon that's always bustling with stylish people.  And a haircut there is only $29!  What a steal!  Plus, at Remedez they give you a short head and shoulder massage before they cut your hair...and it feels amazing.  And they use all-natural Aveda products on you which are my favorite.  They smell so fresh and clean.  I love the Phomollient Styling Foam and the Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener.

Aveda products are a little pricey (at least for this Wal-Mart devotee), but totally worth it.  I've had bottles of both these products for almost 8 weeks now and they aren't even half gone.  But don't take my word for it...go try them for yourself!

10 Things I'm Loving Right Now

1. Project Runway...I just started watching yesterday and I'm hooked.
2. Tim Gunn...Thank you, MOOD!
3. Mondo...He better win. His designs are out of this world! Did anyone else notice that every other contestant last night said that Mondo should go to fashion week? I CANNOT wait to see his collection.
4. Twitter...I'm totally addicted. I check it like 50 times a day. I just love knowing what's going on as soon as it happens.
5. Diane Keaton in "Something's Gotta Give"...She is so fabulous. When I'm rich and famous I'm going to have a house in the Hampton's just like hers.
6. Jack Nicholson in "Something's Gotta Give"..He is also fabulous.
7. The soundtrack to "Something's Gotta Give"...can you tell I watched that movie last weekend for like the 100th time and fell in love with it all over again? And the soundtrack is totally fab. I made delicious pasta last night while listening to it and felt so chic.
8. The Ellen Show...She is hands down the funniest woman on television.
9. My new black jeggings...I was super skeptical about the jegging at first and then I found some on clearance at Target last week. They are the most comfortable pants ever and they fit even when you're having a fat day. Thank goodness for lycra.
10. Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies...Nothing says fall to me like these cookies. I think I ate five of them yesterday...or was it ten?

A lipstick has stolen my heart.

I'm not usually a big product kind of girl but I've recently fallen in love with Covergirl's Outlast All-day Lipcolor. This stuff is amazing. I usually scoff at those commercials that show some gorgeous girl eating and kissing without her lipstick coming off but this stuff actually works like that! First you put on the colored gloss and let it sit for a minute and then you put this clear gloss on top. The color lasts forever and it doesn't get on your teeth. You practically have to scrub your lips to get it off. Plus it comes in all kinds of delicious colors. I especially love this awesome deep red called "eternal flame".
