BYU Weekly: Broadcast Journalism Program

Well, this is my final BYU Weekly story.  I have absolutely loved getting to work for BYU Weekly the last few months!  It was a wonderful opportunity to get real reporting experience.  Everything at BYU TV is so professional and well done and I'll be very sad to leave.  The whole BYU Weekly crew is a wonderful group of people who I have loved getting to know.  I also got to meet so many amazing people while putting together my stories.  My favorite part about being a reporter is the opportunity to meet lots of different people and tell their stories.  I've met so many people who are doing wonderful things with their lives and are going to make a big impact in the world.   

My final story is very close to home...it's about our wonderful, award winning broadcast journalism program!  It starts at about 5:21.  Enjoy!

BYU Weekly: Voice of Africa

I had so much fun with this story!  It's the first one in the show.  I got to see Voice of Africa perform back when I did a story on the Economic Self Reliance Conference.  They are a really neat group of current and former BYU and UVU students who perform African song and dance all over Utah.  I was able to go to one of their rehearsals and get to know the performers a little bit better.  And I might have even joined in with the dancing...

BYU Weekly: Conference Tweeting

This is BYU Weekly from a couple of weeks ago.  My story about tweeting during conference starts at about 18:11. I had a lot of fun putting together this story.  Jacqueline Du Plessis, who'll you'll recognize from my story about the Students for Social Entrepreneurship emailed me about this neat story idea the Monday after LDS General Conference.  Apparently, using Twitter and other social media during conference has become a huge trend.  The church even streamed conference within Facebook this year.  Anyway, Jacqueline enjoyed doing it so much this year and was so passionate about it that I couldn't resist putting together a story about this fun trend!  Enjoy!

BYU Weekly: Students for Social Entrepreneurship

I did a story a couple of weeks ago about the BYU Ballard Center and for this show I got to know students doing on-campus internships through the center.  I have been planning this story for over a month and had so much fun getting to know this group.  They are some really wonderful people who I know are going to change the world someday.  My story starts around 7:55.

BYU Weekly: The Pendulum Court Cafe

Check out this weeks episode of BYU Weekly!  My story about the Pendulum Court Cafe starts at 20:42 (But don't hesitate to watch the whole show!  We've always got interesting stories!).  I had a great time with all the dietetics students at the Pen Court a couple of weeks ago.  They are all so nice and the food is delicious.  Be sure to head over to the Eyring Science Center on BYU Campus and try it out!  But don't forget to make a reservation first!
